CMSUA is offering a 2 1/2 hour mini-clinic for brand new umpires or people who want to learn more about umpiring. Umpires who are Level I or Level II may also attend for a tune-up.
The clinic will cover basic rules, on-field positioning, and common myths. Feel free to bring a friend along for a friendly rules competition. Umpires who attend will be given the opportunity to umpire games during CMSA regular season weekdays May and June. The games are paid at $35 per game.
Although this clinic will not teach you everything you need to know to umpire, it will be very beneficial to anyone in softball [Coaches, Players, Parents, etc.].
If you want to get involved umpiring after this clinic, we will work with to get you all the materials you need and prepare you for the simple True/False exam which you would write before the season starts. If you aren’t sure yet if you want to be an umpire, this is an easy way to learn about it.
There will be no cost to attend this clinic, though space is limited so please RSVP to confirm your spot.
