Mark is correct. I do the rules presentation at the CMSA coaches orientation clinics. I tell the coaches that I prefer the baseball rule that the bat must be pulled out of the strike zone so there may be a misunderstanding there. It may be best that I don’t reference the baseball rule in the future.
The old jacket is much warmer. The new wind shirt is not lined and has no pockets. If you can get the old on sale it can be used for all local tournaments and provincials.
No!
I’m fine with an increase to $10.
Apparently with U10’s they will let them continue to bat if they want but all other divisions the go to 1st. The little ones tend to freeze when they see the ball coming at them. I consider them to have tried to get out of the way if they blink. I’m very lenient with the younger kids.
The model Geoff mentions can be found cheaper on U.S. sites but consider the Canadian dollar and shipping. I have the iX3 and it’s more than adequate.
The new wind shirts are there. $73 and change. They are out of the old wind shirts. They had 3 different black legs guards suitable for umpiring. Didn’t get prices as the umpire didn’t have his glasses. New umpires, if you are buying leg guards make them black.
I agree with adding $40 to Shayla’s game fees. I didn’t receive umpire cards at the spring ASUA meeting.

Are they the hats with the elastic band?
diamond iX3 is the model many of us have. HRS use to sell it but I don’t see is there now. I recommend it.
I’ve seen this type, cumbersome and bulky. I don’t like it.
Also a huge thank to for putting the presentation together.
Haven’t received a request yet.
Cindy, you’ll need the Softball Canada rule book. I have them or the Calgary Minor Softball has them at there office.
