If I have accepted a game and something pops up that interferes who would I talk to about that?
April 27, 2015 at 6:26 pm #70964Hi Pierson. If you need to return an accepted game back due to a conflict, please e-mail umpirerequest@calgaryminorsoftball.com or reply to your reminder e-mail. Please include the reason why this happened, and if there is something we can do to avoid it happening again [i.e. a different location, better calendar management, etc.]. Be honest about it. If you got last minute tickets to the Flames playoff games, then of course you will need to go to that. 🙂
Please try to limit this scenario to rare/urgent scenarios as turning back accepted games will cause the assigner extra work and someone will likely have to accept an assignment without any lead time. This should happen no more than twice a year.
When you do find a conflict, please let us known as soon as you know about it, and don’t leave it until the last minute. If you are feeling ill and not sure if you will be able to cover your game, it is best if you tell us ahead of time of that chance than waiting until the last minute to let us know.
Cheers
Geoff
