Welcome to CMSUA umpire discussion forums. These forums are open to players, coaches, fans, and umpires alike. The intent is to discuss the rules in depth and gain a better understanding of them. CMSUA is a member of Softball Canada, and primary focus is on Canadian softball.
There are NO stupid questions. We are all at different levels in our understanding of the rules. This is a safe environment for anyone to ask a rule.
