I see the following is on sale at Home Run Sports. I was told my protector was a little too soft for Men’s Ball. This one also has shoulder pads. Do most of you use shoulder pads at Elite ball?
Is this a good deal? On sale for $70 regular $150 [Apparently]
Anyone have this actual model? Do they like it?

April 12, 2015 at 11:23 am #70781I saw this one last year when I was looking and tried it on. Didn’t particularly like it. Hard plastic type. It was also on sale then. Doesn’t seem overly popular if they still have it.
April 14, 2015 at 10:57 am #70800I’ve seen this type, cumbersome and bulky. I don’t like it.
April 14, 2015 at 11:11 am #70801Jim, which one would you suggest for doing Men’s ball? Where did you get yours?
April 14, 2015 at 8:36 pm #70842diamond iX3 is the model many of us have. HRS use to sell it but I don’t see is there now. I recommend it.
April 18, 2015 at 8:27 am #70884I see HR has a “Diamond DCP-iX3 CXTU 14” $119.99

But I also see there is an UMP one with more arm protection on other sites

IS this the one you are talking about?
April 18, 2015 at 6:52 pm #70892The model Geoff mentions can be found cheaper on U.S. sites but consider the Canadian dollar and shipping. I have the iX3 and it’s more than adequate.
