Can someone tell me u12 if you kneel when you bunt are you out knee touching the ground
February 28, 2016 at 11:13 am #73664Hey Janice. Thanks for the question. As far as I know there is no rule about having a knee on the ground in the rulebook. It is illegal to have a foot completely outside the box (not the case here).
What could be illegal is whether the knee is kneeling on and touching the plate when the ball is touched. I’m not sure… Thoughts??

This is not true in baseball where they can be in contact with the plate with their foot or their knee as long as that foot is still also in contact with the batter’s box (or the line of the batter’s box which of course is considered to be part of the batter’s box), and if they make contact with the ball, they are NOT out.
