We are in process of finalizing the content for this year. We didn’t get time to gather formal feedback from last years clinic.
What would you like to add to the course? Anything you would change (except the weather – we will try to go outdoors for Sunday this year if weather permits)
There is always a lot to cover in a short period of time so we want to make sure we focus on what most people want and not waste anyone’s time.
Hope we get some good ideas and discussion going.
February 26, 2016 at 9:37 am #73456Rick HallI would like to see a short discussion on Arbiter and how games are assigned. How many league games can we expect to officiate not including tournaments. Fees for the year. Lower levels not playing at Vista are crying for umpires and I understand that monies are not available for all games, however not all umpires are working all nights and could pick up the odd game if there was a posted listed somewhere and the teams involved wanted to pay an umpire themselves.
RickFebruary 26, 2016 at 10:12 am #73457Great questions Rick. We will definitely address these questions. And just so you know, we already have a process to handle your concerns!
February 26, 2016 at 10:31 am #73458We do allow U10-U14 teams to send us requests for umpires on an ad-hoc basis. The home team is responsible for the umpires for that game. If we have enough umpires available, and all other games are available, we will send an umpire to those game. These are known as “Cash Games” and are paid at the diamond by the home team. We will ensure this is emphasized at the category meetings this year and the teams are aware of this option.
