Softball is better than Baseball

One of our younger umpires told me emphatically how much he enjoys fastball. He like many other players who love the game are confused why men's fastball has deteriorated.He made some good points: The pitching is much closer so less time for batter to react The diamonds are smaller so it is harder to make a double playI'm sure he made more points, but it was a while ago when we had the conversation.How about you? Why do you think fastball is better than baseball?? Maybe we just need to spread the word!!
